Photography 52 Project: week 21/52 {Frank}

52 Project – a photo a week, every week, of each of my two lads

We had a very special visitor this week in the shape of Frank. He is our good friends Emma and Pete’s lad and could not be any more ace. He’s super chilled, always smiling, happy and babbling, gives the best cuddles and has a spectacular arsenal of amusing noises. Emma, Pete and Frank stayed with us for a few days while they were working up here and the house feels very empty now without them. It was Frank’s first introduction to Huey and Joe and they all absolutely loved each other. Huey loved ‘taking care’ of Frank, cuddling and kissing him, showing him how to splash in the bath, explaining that ALL the toys were ‘MYSE!’ at every opportunity, and trying to shove toast in his mouth. Whenever you put them next to each other, Huey would just look absolutely delighted, like he’d been given the best present in the world. To me it’s just the most amazing thing when your own kids and kids of friends you love dearly start to love each other too. These guys are going to be absolute terrors together I know it.

Joe has such a wonderful way with babies and young kids, really gentle and patient and fun. From day one he’s been incredible with Huey, and since having his little brother he’s developed a real knack for looking after little kids and genuinely seems to love them. He couldn’t get over how cute Frank was. This is also an important picture as it’s the last ever photo of Joe in his school uniform as this week he finished primary school! I just can’t believe that chapter is over and that in a couple of months he’ll be starting secondary school. There have been plenty of tears this week from daft old Mum, particularly when I went to put his uniform in the wash and realised he’d never wear it again.

  1. Aww bless! It’s such a big move when they go to secondary school isn’t it? I hope he’s settled well. Gorgeous pictures as always 🙂 xx

      Thanks so much Clare – yes it is such a wrench! He’s settled in really well thank you, just terrifying how quickly he’s changing now!
